eat well * be well

I have not met a person who says, “I sure hope my health fails, I live with pain and am not well enough to enjoy my family and friends.” If you know someone who has said this, please make sure to email me! (askme@therealdrlaura.com)

I see health and wellness as the overall, inclusive, general theme to which we all aspire! To have health and wellness means that our mind and body are working in concert such that we are able to conquer the day and all it throws at us! With the concerns of today and the pandemic, we hear about the need to take care of ourselves so we don’t get sick.

Isn’t that how we should live our life? Focus on being clean, stay away from people who are sick, don’t go out or to work with you are sick, wash our hands, and cover our mouth when we cough or sneeze. These things we learned in kindergarten still apply!

Let’s build on that and talk about getting or staying healthy. That means, eat right and exercise. Right? We have all heard that and it is the thing most talked about when ‘health and wellness’ are typed into a search engine. Weight loss is one of the top two topics that result from the search. (Currently, topic number one relates to the pandemic.)

So, what does it mean to eat right? I can tell you what it means for me and my family. We have a farm, raise our own meat, vegetable, fruits, and have chickens and ducks for eggs. We are as organic as possible even growing our own hay which we stared from organic seeds. (For more information about our farm, check out the farm link on this site.) Eating clean foods is important for a clean body. That means, the fewer chemicals and artificial ingredients entering our body the better. This goes for essential oils too! DoTERRA Essential Oils are Certified Therapeutic Grade oils.

Now, for “exercise”. Yes, the number one resolution each year is to exercise more (or exercise at all). What if I told you I will help you develop a plan in which we eliminate (or at least minimize) “exercise”.

I am not suggesting that there is no movement and that you can be a preverbal couch potato. What I am saying is that there is more than one way to move the body in such a way that you will attain and maintain health and wellness.

I will be developing and posting educational programs on various health and wellness topics. Check back often for exciting updates about various issues and concerns that arise! I will post about the many uses of oils to help you gain and maintain wellness. I will have pictures, blogs, vlogs, and educational classes to help you through a myriad of situations in your life.
